About
Ryan Fitzsimmons is an artist who is currently working with sculptural form jewelry. His current series The Poetry of Growth and Decay evokes the decline of the small town industrial America he grew up in. The pieces from this series explore the stresses and decay of traditional jewelry materials to convey those memories of a former mill town in transition. He is currently studying Jewelry and Metal Arts at Academy of Art University in San Francisco and will earn a MA in May of 2023.

Ryan has been a nationally recognized teacher having twice qualified for fellowship grants for Fund for Teachers to perform a photographic study in Iceland and a jewelry study in the southwest U.S.

His other artist works that have been displayed include multiple photographic series, and a show in ceramics.
